Who operates this website

This website, manchesterheadshots.co.uk, is operated by Manchester Headshots, a specialist corporate headshot service from Rifkin & Livesey. Rifkin & Livesey is a trading name of Wayne Myers, a sole trader based in Darwen, Lancashire, working across the North West. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.

We are the “data controller” for the personal information described below.

What information we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect the details you provide:

  • Your name
  • Company name (if given)
  • Email address
  • Telephone number (if given)
  • Approximate number of people needing headshots (if given)
  • Preferred date or timescale (if given)
  • Any message you write to us

Our hosting provider also automatically records limited technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in standard server logs, which are used to keep the site secure and working.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We use your enquiry details only to respond to you, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, arrange and deliver the photography.

  • Responding to your enquiry: our lawful basis is our legitimate interests (to answer people who contact us about our services) and, where a contract follows, the performance of a contract with you.
  • Advertising and analytics cookies: where used, our lawful basis is your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our normal business records. As a guide we retain enquiry correspondence for up to [Wayne to confirm — suggested: 24 months] after our last contact, then delete it, unless you become a client (in which case we keep records as required for tax and accounting).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, who process it on our behalf:

  • Website hosting: Vercel Inc. hosts this website and processes server logs.
  • Enquiry email delivery: Resend (Plusdocs, Inc.) is used to deliver the enquiry form to our inbox.
  • Business email: the enquiry then arrives in our business email inbox at rifkinandlivesey.co.uk.
  • Advertising & analytics (only with your consent): if enabled, Google (Google Ads / Google Analytics) may process limited information to measure our advertising. This does not run unless you accept cookies.

These providers may process information outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU approved data-transfer mechanisms) apply.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses only essential functionality by default and does not place advertising or analytics cookies unless you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it.

If you accept, we may use Google Ads and/or Google Analytics cookies to understand which adverts lead to enquiries. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, or by contacting us. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or send an enquiry.

Your data-protection rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong (rectification)
  • Ask us to delete your information (erasure)
